Katchafire have announced a collab with Australian neo-soul singer Kaiit for their next Revival 2.0 Guest Edition single, releasing Collie Herb Man out today, October 30.
"Wow! It felt so special to be asked to be a part of the Katchafire anniversary release album. But when I was asked specifically to cover the iconic ‘Collie Herb Man’, I was excited and honoured to being asked to do my rendition of it! Was so smooth expressing this one, not to mention so much fun!! When you record a song you’re listening back to the beat soo much and I was enjoying every moment. Ohhh, to have written this song 😮💨”, Kaiit said.
The forthcoming Revival 2.0 Guest Edition album is out November 27, uniting roots and reggae voices from across the globe including UB40’s Ali Campbell, Hawaii’s Mike Love, UK’s Brinsley Ford, NZ’s Louis Baker, and Australian First Nations artist Emily Wurramara.
Limited edition Vinyl & CD double-albums are available to pre-order via Holiday Records, featuring heavy-weight translucent green smoke vinyl, packaging the Revival 2.0 Remixed & Remastered album together with the Revival 2.0 Guest Edition album.
Katchafire are now in Australia for a five-week tour through October and November, then head to the UK for shows with UB40, and several festivals in Australia and New Zealand have been announced for 2027 (Dates & venues below).
Blending vibrant reggae rhythms with Māori influences, Katchafire have created a distinctive sound recognised worldwide. For 25 years, they have championed Māori music and Pacific reggae through songs celebrating family, unity and cultural pride. Their powerful melodies and dynamic live performances continue to resonate with audiences around the globe.
